There's nothing quite like live music. From festivals and indoor arenas to intimate backyard gigs and local small venues, every show has its own energy. Whether I'm shooting international superstars or local heroes, each and every gig is a pleasure to capture.

As a Nelson based music photographer, I work quickly within the standard gig guidelines (usually the first three songs, no flash) to capture the true essence of your performance. The sweat, the lights, the crowd, the moments that make live music special.

You get full usage rights on all images, so you can promote future gigs, create social media teasers, send out press releases, or build your press kit. Frequently Asked Questions

  • For most local shows I don't need a formal pass, just a heads up from you or the venue. For festivals or bigger touring acts, I'll work within whatever photo pass system the promoter has in place.

  • I usually work within the standard gig guideline of the first three songs with no flash. If you want photos captured through the whole set, just let me know and we can arrange that with the venue.

  • Yes. You get full usage rights on every image, so you're free to use them for social media teasers, press releases, posters and promoting future gigs.

  • Turnaround depends on the size of the shoot, but I aim to get gig photos back to you quickly so you can use them while the show is still fresh online.

  • Yes, everything from festivals and indoor arenas through to intimate backyard gigs and local small venues. Whether it's an international touring act or local heroes, every gig gets the same effort.

  • I'm based in Nelson and cover gigs across Nelson and Tasman, and I'm happy to travel further afield for the right show.
